There is something so special about the months leading up to the birth of your first baby. There are so many "lasts" leading up to so many "firsts." I remember about a week before our daughter, Scarlett was born, my hubby and I went out to dinner and talked about how this was our last dinner as a couple. I mean, sure, we still go out on date nights, so obviously that wasn't our last time out as a party of 2, but that first baby really does change everything. Just when you think you can't love something or someone more, your first baby is born and your heart just grows in size. And it continues to grow with each baby that is added to the family, but that first bundle of joy will always be the first.
Liz reached out to me a few months ago looking to document this exciting first in her family's life. She wanted a quaint rustic location, so we met at photographer's paradise, aka Jerusalem Mill. We practically had the space all to ourselves on this gorgeous "spring" day (I say that lightly because it snowed just days before on the first day of spring). The light at Jerusalem Mill never disappoints and it was just warm enough for Liz to kick off her shoes and put her toes in the sand by the water.
Liz's style was so perfect for this location, too. I just love the floral pattern and the contrast against the wispy grass.
Here are a few of my favorites from their session. So excited to document the next big milestone as they welcome their baby to the world in just a few weeks!
