Legos, Trains & Silly Games... That's What Little Kids Are Made Of

So, let's talk more about freezing time...

80's kids... remember Zack Morris and his infamous "TIMEOUT" when all of life would freeze around him? Seriously though, I wish I had this super power. My daughter, Scarlett is about to turn SEVEN (say what??) in two weeks. My princess-loving, dress-up-obsessed little baby is gone and has been replaced with a Teen Beach Movie-watching, big girl sleepover-going, no more baby-toys 7-year old! Now, she's a pretty awesome 7-year old, but I'm so glad I have some precious snaps of her in her favorite Aurora dress from her brother's newborn photos (thanks to the amazingly talented Lindsay Parks Photography). Whenever I'm feeling like time is moving too fast, I can open up an album tucked away and remember just what she was like as her adorable 3-year old self.

So last month I had this idea...what if I can help other mamas freeze time?! And that's how the idea for my first-ever Milestones Mini Sessions was born.

This weekend, I opened up my in-home studio to 7 adorable kiddos. I worked with each family, encouraging them to bring a toy or sentimental item that completely sums up what their little guy or gal is "into." We had everything from trains, to legos, to Junie B. Jones books. I just love the clean and simple backdrop that allowed the kids to really shine... and shine they did. Take a look...

Meet Landon... this handsome almost 6-year old was a complete stud for his session. For real though, look at those poses! All him...

These sweet siblings couldn't have been any cuter. I also love that mom asked for some styling assistance before the shoot, and I was able to work one-on-one with her to create this cute look - that floral dress was the perfect choice for little miss Lillian!

{YOU CAN BUY IT HERE}

I also had a littler man come join me, too! While I loved his camo, I couldn't resist some naked baby squishy-ness!

It also started snowing during Miss Piper's shoot, so we ran outside real quick to freeze time (literally).

and stay tuned for my next announcement in a few weeks! It's one mama's of little girls won't want to miss!

til next time...
