Harford County Senior Portrait Photographer // Gabby, Class of 2018 // Eden Mill Nature Center, Pyle

OK, so let's flash back to 1999. My senior year of high school (coming up on my 20 year reunion... eeekkk). The classic black drape and rose, combined with my awful 1990's bangs made for one pretty horrific senior portrait. I seriously cringe every time I see it still hanging in my parents house. Truthfully, I hated the photos taken at school so much my mom took me to Sears Portrait Studio to have some others taken. They were pretty cringe-worthy, too.

Senior portraits have sure come a long way since the late 90's. I stalk several Instagram accounts including Modern Senior and the Senior Collective, and I'm always blown away by the work they showcase. So this year I revamped my senior portrait packages in order to bring this new style of doing senior pics to Harford County.

So, what makes them different? First, two of my packages now include hair and make-up by my awesome glam squad, the girls of Fleurt Beauty Company. And secondly, I work one-on-one with the family to select the perfect locations. Sometimes that includes a trip to the senoior’s high school to grab some pictures on the soccer field or basketball court. We usually travel to several different locations to get the perfect variety of scenery so every picture doesn't look the same. The end result... a gallery of 50+ hand-picked images that include everything from the perfectly posed to the candid and fun.

Gabby was my first senior of 2018, and I am thrilled with how her session turned out. Gabby selected one of my styled sessions and had her hair and make-up done by Meaghan, co-owner of Fleurt Beauty Company. Gabby's only request for her portrait location... "I want it to be pretty." She opted out of doing some shots in her softball uniform and we wandered all over Historic Eden Mill in Pylesville, MD on a gorgeous summer-like evening to soak in the beautiful scenery.

Gabby's house was actually pretty gorgeous, too, so we got a few quick snaps on the front porch before we left. Most of Gabby's wardrobe was from Francesca's, one of my favorite boutiques. Floral is so in this season, and I think her outfit selections (and the fact that she is absolutely gorgeous) made for some pretty stunning pics.

While most of my seniors have their portraits done in the Fall, the spring is really pretty amazing for pictures. I'm currently booking 2019 seniors, but I have a few spots available for seniors graduating this year.
