One of the first shoots Des asked me to write about was her 2nd Editorial Shoot this year! Sadly, this shoot was right in the middle of Des' busiest summer yet, so other than Instagram, these images have been living in the DOP archives... until TODAY. What better way to say goodbye to 2020 than with this fun, colorful and carefree shoot.
Going through the this gallery has me longing for the summer sun! Back in August, Des took seven of her senior reps down to Dewey Beach, Delaware. Since she has eighteen reps this year, she split them into three groups for three different shoots. In July, the first group did a Clueless-inspired shoot. This beach shoot was a more laid back styled shoot compared to the Clueless shoot, but equally as fun! Being a senior rep means you get to participate in a styled shoot and get priority in booking your own senior session with Des. Des is getting ready to announce her application process for the Class of 2022, so be on the lookout!
Inspired simply by her love of the beach (where she met her hubby!), Des wanted this session to be playful and a modern take on 50’s beachwear. Cue the Teen Beach Movie soundtrack! Here's a pic of her inspo for the shoot....

The lighting is impeccable (#goldenhour) and the wind blown hair gives all the Marilyn Monroe vibes (fitting for a 50’s inspired shoot!). The countdown to summer starts NOW with this gallery! FUN FACT: most of the reps didn't know each other prior to this shoot! They quickly became friends though because, they got to spend a day at the beach together... look like besties to me!
