When I launched my DOP REP Program in 2019, one of the components of the program included a community service project. In years past, we collected lunchboxes for a back-to-school drive for Extreme Family Outreach and sold Valentine's to raise money for Luna's House, an animal shelter in Harford County. This year, in honor of Women's History Month, DOP is partnering with Girlhero, a boutique located in Green Spring Station, to collect prom dresses for girls in need! All prom dresses will be donated the the HER Project, a local non-profit here in Baltimore, MD that provides life-enhancing resources so she can change her life through confidence building, college prep, and career readiness. All dresses will be distributed to local high school students in need of a special dress for prom!
Do you have any clean, gently used formal dresses that you'd like to donate? You can drop off any dresses at Girl Hero - 10751 Falls Road, Lutherville, MD! Collections will be accepted until 5:00pm on March 23, 2024!
Anyone who donates a dress will receive 20% off your purchase at Girlhero!
Can't make it to Girlhero in Green Spring Station? DOP has selected 10 Local Ambassadors who will be collecting dresses for their schools. If you're local to Harford County and you'd prefer to drop your dresses off to me, please shoot me an email!
